I started to read this book when I was younger because growing up it was in our house, but then I didn't. Now I am going to!
The second book is A Tree Grows in Brooklyn.
I recently uploaded this book to my Nook Color and now I am determined to read it.
I can't believe I let these classics pass me by. Have you read one or both? Did you enjoy them? Comment please!!
Read more here and here.

A Tree Grows in Brooklyn is my most favorite book EVER!! I hope you love it! Such a great account of Depression era NY. Francie Nolan is an amazing character!
I have read To Kill a Mockingbird. I remember enjoying the book when I read it, but for me it wasn't as good as the movie.
As for A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, that's one I've never read.
I've read To Kill a Mockingbird but I haven't read A Tree Grows in Brooklyn - I need to pick that one up!
Hi Lesli!
I read A Tree Grows in Brooklyn for my book club last year and really enjoyed it. The first half is a bit slow but the 2nd half picks up a lot and it was a really interesting read about a time/place/life that is so different from ours now! I loved the book's main character.
xoxo
